Welcome to the Registration page! We welcome all Alexander Technique teachers and trainees, those who have had AT lessons and any other people who are interested in the attending the 11th Alexander Technique Congress. We still have lots of rooms available at Loyola University!

This page will explain the two-part registration process: Congress Registration and Loyola University Accommodation (room reservations and/or meal plans). The yellow Registration button in the top right corner of this page will direct you to both the Congress Registration and Loyola University Accommodation pages. Everyone will need to register for the Congress using the link from this page. For those of you taking advantage of the terrific room/meal plan deals offered by Loyola University please register on the website provided. If you choose to stay off-site, we highly recommend you look at the meal plan options on their website as well. We are grateful that Loyola University will be handling all of our registration for LU accommodations, it takes a lot of stress off the Congress team to have their help.

Congress Pricing:

Your Congress registration fee includes: 6-days of Learning from Keynote Speakers, Plenary Presenters, Workshops, Panel Discussions, an opening reception, entertainment throughout the week, and a closing gala of food, drinks, dance and more!

We have close to 450 attendees registered so far! We are so glad you are coming to Chicago!

Good news for all AT trainees who are currently enrolled in an Alexander Teacher Training school, whether you attended Limerick or not, you get the Limerick rate! (Once you register you might be asked to send us a confirmation that you are in an Alexander Technique Training program. If you’re graduating soon, better sign up now!)

We are so excited about all of you that have signed up so far the Congress in Chicago we wanted to extend this offer a little longer to allow for more Alexander Teachers everywhere to join us!

We accept checks in US currency only. Need to pay in two installments? No problem! Go through the registration process, at the end click pay by check. Then email us at admin@atcongress.com and let us know you are sending two checks or you can use PayPal.  You must pay the 1st installment by March 31st to get the Early Bird rate. The second installment will be due by May 1st.

Can’t decide right away whether you want to come to this awesome event. Here’s what we can offer you, we know what it’s like to procrastinate!

Regular Registration Fee: $995 (March 31, 2018, to June 15th, 2018)


If you are currently enrolled in an Alexander Technique Training Program worldwide, you will qualify for the Limerick rate. You must enroll before you graduate in order to get this rate. ( If you’re graduating soon, enroll before you graduate to you get this price.) Proof of enrollment will be required.

Trainees if you think you are going to come let us know by June 1st.

AT Trainees Fee: $765 (Good until July, 1st 2018)


After June 15th, 2018 up to the start date of the Congress on July 29th, 2018 the fee will be:

Late Registration Fee: $1,295


Note: When you register, you will be given the opportunity to choose your Continuous Learning sessions. We suggest that you review the CL page first, and have your three choices in mind. Please note that your chosen presenter may not be available for one of the sessions, but available for another. CL Sessions are filling up fast if you do not see their name that means they are Full. There is a waitlist (which if you are on you will more then likely get in!)

 

Cancellation/Refund Policy for the Congress:

We hope that you won’t need to cancel but if you do here is our refund policy. You will be able to go to the registration website and put in your confirmation code and cancel your registration there. Your money will be sent back to the same credit card it was made on.

If canceling before February 1, 2018: 85% of your registration fee

If canceling after February 2, 2018, but before June 1, 2018: 50% of your registration fee.

After June 1, 2018, no refund will be available.  Of course, there is always the exception to the ‘rules’ and ‘things’ that come up that are out of our control. We feel that we have worked out a great price for both single and double occupancy rooms. The price includes 16 meals. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner from July 30 to August 3rd, plus breakfast on August 4th. You will find more detailed information on the different rooms available on the accommodations page.

Room Prices:

Single occupancy cost: $128.92 a night, with meals. Total cost for 6 nights including 16 meals with tax is $773.52. Meals are Monday morning thru Saturday Breakfast.

Double occupancy cost: $210.88 a night or $105.46 per person with meals.  The total cost would be $632.64 per person/includes 16 meals with tax. Meals are Monday morning thru Saturday Breakfast.

You will need to put in the information below when registering for your room/meal plan on Loyola University website. If it comes up nothing available, please make sure you are putting in all the information correctly, it is very touchy! Sorry about that, we realize it’s not the easiest website!

Lunch Meal Plan
This meal plan option includes lunch from July 30-August 3. Our dining halls are all-you-can-eat and include options for those with dietary restrictions. Cost $62.00

Full Meal Plan 
This meal plan option includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner from July 30-August 3 and breakfast on August 4. Our dining halls are all-you-can-eat and include options for those with dietary restrictions. Cost: $210.00

Loyola University website is not as user-friendly as we would have liked. You have to put the exact dates for the Congress in (yes, you have to scroll to find the right dates), plus all the other information that is above to register for the rooms. If you want to get the meal plan only you have to put in the exact dates, (July 30th, as meals, don’t start on July 29th) plus all of the above information. These ‘codes’ are on this page, our registration page, and the registration page for the Congress. We are sorry for any confusion it may cause.

How your fees are used

Like every Congress before us, we have made a huge effort to bring an exceptional educational value to you at the best price.  It is essential that the Congress break even and keep something in reserve for a seed fund for the next Congress. There will be 22 major teaching events and 6 entertainment events that you can attend. This breaks down to less than $30 per event for early registration.  We feel this is an exceptional value to be able to meet and work with many of the most experienced Alexander Teachers in the world.
