Dorothea Magonet completed her training in London, in 1984. Since then she has worked with music students at the Royal Academy of Music, London. In the early 90s she has organized the first two International Conferences on Teaching Alexander Technique in Music Conservatoires, which continue to take place every three years. As a member of the Performing Self team she co-organizes and teaches CPD course for Alexander teaching for performers. From 1994 until 2004 she served on STAT Council, now she is a STAT
Moderator. She was the Main Assistant at the Westminster Alexander Teacher Training Course 2009 -2016, London. She has a teaching practice in London and regularly runs workshops for performers in the UK, Estonia, Finland and Japan. She is also a practicing and exhibiting Fine Artist (sculpture).
